Though people hardly discuss this, it is actually easier to make money off of bad markets because individual stocks typically fall much faster than they rise. The question being discussed in many financial circles among bears is whether the Feds can engineer a soft landing. I personally believe a hard landing is coming though the general consensus is for a soft landing.
